Lynn Campus Music & Bible

Larry Kamp teaches Bible and Music to lower and middle school students on our Lynn Campus. He also is the Chorus Director, Theatre Workshop Director and Chapel Director. Mr. Kamp has taught music at NSCS since 1982 and Bible since 1994. He received his BA from Houghton College, his MSM from Boston University and is currently working towards his THD at Boston University. In the past decade, Mr. Kamp has developed substantial curriculum units in Christian studies and social ethics, especially in the areas of Holocaust Studies and Race and Membership study. Mr. Kamp is a member of the Teacher Leadership Team at Facing History and Ourselves, Inc. and has extended his teaching well beyond the classroom through parent and teacher workshops. He is also the Music Director at Community Covenant Church. He and his wife, Lianne, have three children.

Lynn Campus Art
Rebecca KetchamRebecca Ketcham has been the Art teacher at our Lynn campus since 2009. She strives to celebrate the uniqueness of each child and encourages art that fuels pride as well as personal growth. Mrs. Ketcham holds degrees in Education and Visual Art from Gordon College and, upon graduating in 2008, she taught art for infants through upper school students in public and private schools, art studios and childcare centers. In her free time, she enjoys painting and playing tennis with her husband, Keith.

Beacon Campus Art
Kerrie James Kerrie James teaches art to students on our Beacon Campus. She obtained her BA in Art Education from Salem State University. Mrs. James weaves the stories and techniques of artists from the past and around the world into her lessons, as children are encouraged to try their hand at colorful collages like Eric Carle, Chinese bamboo painting, Cubist portraits inspired by Picasso, or dazzling Impressionist water lilies. When asked what she enjoys about her job, she replies, "I love seeing my students use their creativity and problem solving skills to try new things and to create beautiful art!" When she is not teaching art, she is leading the Creative Arts Ministry at a new church plant where she worships. Mrs. James also enjoys exploring historic Salem and hanging out with her husband, Brian, and son, Levi.

Music and Concert Director
Maureen Oh Maureen Oh teaches music and piano. She obtained her BA in Music Education from the University of Western Ontario. Mrs. Oh is not only the music teacher, but also the campus conductor. Twice each year, at Christmas and in May, she leads the children in an all-school concert that includes singing, instruments, and dancing. The children learn a wide repertoire of music and sing with skill and gusto. They learn to use their talent and hard work to praise their Creator - playing recorders, chimes, piano, and violin. Parents in the audience alternate beaming smiles with thankful tears. These concerts capture the spirit of our school-excellence and hard work, not for human pride, but for God's glory!

Physical Education
Chae Grant Pamela "Chaë" Grant has taught physical education at North Shore Christian School for fourteen years and has developed an exemplary program. She has wide and outstanding experience as a coach, athletic director, and youth leader. Miss Grant holds a degree from Gordon College and has furthered her education at The Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship and National Youth Works. She has traveled to Israel, Turkey, Mexico, Ukraine and the Czech Republic on short term mission's trips to fulfill her calling to reach youth, not just in America, but all over the world.

Beacon Campus Enrichment Director
Dallas Bradel Dallas Bradel is the Enrichment Director on our Beach campus. She received her M.Div. and M.A. in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and is an ordained Presbyterian pastor. Ms. Bradel has taught in church settings for over 20 years and has been in the classroom for 8 years. An extensive traveler, she has lived in Germany and visited most of Europe as well as Seoul, South Korea and Cape Town, South Africa. In her free time she enjoys reading, writing, walks on the beach and a variety of crafting projects. What she likes best about her job are the students!

Discovery Center Director - All Campuses
Kiki Mercer Kiki Mercer serves as the Discovery Center Director for all four NSCS campuses. She received her initial Master's Degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Emmanuel College. After serving on staff in a local church community as a Counselor and the Director of Religious Education, her experience expanded to include private practice as a Psychotherapist; several years developing programming for an alternative gifted education program; and more recently directing the Student Services Department in a small Christian school. She has pursued additional post-Master's work in the fields of counseling and education. Ms. Mercer is excited about helping students realize her favorite Dr. Seuss quote, "Oh, the things they can think!" Her favorite activities include ballet, literature, art, music, politics, Bible study, and precious fellowship with family, friends and her 21year old son.
