Keeping Christ in Christmas

Gelukkig Kerstfeest, Feliz Navidad, Feliz Natal, Jwaye Nowe, Sekukkulu, and Chu? M??g Gia?g Sinh are just a few ways to say Merry Christmas.  During the month of December the kindergarten class is focusing on Christmas customs around the world. They will visit countries that are related to the heritage of the students in the class.  This year they began with Holland and will also look at the customs in Sweden, Italy, Cambodia, Vietnam, Brazil, Mexico, Haiti, and Uganda.  The kindergarten students are learning that no matter where Christmas is celebrated the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ, is the most important part.

In addition the kindergarten class has partnered with the 8th grade to make cookies for My Brother’s Table, an organization that provides meals for families in need.  On Thursday, December 17th, they will go to deliver them and sing Christmas carols for the guests.
