S.A.L.T. (Students are Leading Together)

Imagine a place where people care just as much about the needs of others as they do about their own. Imagine a place distinctive for its concern and care of others.  Imagine a place where people willingly meet the needs of others without being asked.

This is the type of place NSCS desires to be and we are going to do so through our students who will be setting the Christ-like example of servant leadership!

Several students were selected last spring to help set in motion this year’s school theme –  S.A.L.T (Serving Are Leading Together.)  We met to pray, plan, discuss, and dream together about how we can inspire our school to be salt and light in a bland and dark world.

I am convinced, more than ever before, that God is going to use this generation of children, to bear witness like never before, of his Son Jesus, and to be both a balm and beacon, in the world.  And so, along with equipping our students intellectually by utilizing outstanding academics, we must also equip them spiritually by engaging their hearts.

This year, our fifth and sixth grade students will met regularly to discuss practical ways in which our school can serve the broader community, both here in the North Shore and beyond.  I invite you to participate with our students as we engage in authentic opportunities serving others.

Please be on the lookout for upcoming information from our S.A.L.T. Crew members as to how you too can serve and demonstrate Christ-like servant leadership.
